*RARE* Colt Police Positive Checkered GRIPS Target w/ Thumb Rest NEW OLD STOCK
The Colt Police Positive was introduced in 1905. It has a short cylinder chambered for short cartridges such as the .38 S&W, and the .32 Colt. In 1908 Colt introduced the Police Positive Special, which had a longer cylinder that could accept the .38 S&W Special and .32-20 caliber.
The Colt Police Positive introduced the "D" frame, which later evolved into a line of small frame handguns such as the Detective Special, Police Positive Special, the Agent, the Cobra, the Viper and the Diamondback. But prior to 1960, the "D" frame guns had full frame steel butts where the grip matched the size of the frame. After 1960, most of the "D" frame guns began using a stubby butt that required an extended grip wrapping around the bottom of the frame.
These grips fit the older model "D" frames. They are checkered with the thumb rest on the left grip panel.
